SFA Begins Third Year of ESPN Partnership

SFA will produce 50 in-house events during 2017-18 academic year
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - In an announcement made Tuesday morning, the SFA department of athletics revealed its complete list of ESPN3 events for the 2017-18 academic year.
The 2017-18 academic year represents the beginning of the third year of partnership between SFA Athletics and ESPN. In all, no fewer than 47 SFA athletic contests will be produced in-house and streamed live nationally on ESPN3.
In addition to those 47 games and matches from five different SFA athletic teams, SFA is also set to broadcast football's National Signing Day and spring game as well as 'Jack Madness for men's and women's basketball bringing the total of ESPN3-streamed events to 50 through the 2017-18 academic year.
"The partnership between ESPN and our university has been beneficial on multiple levels," said SFA's coordinator of athletic video production Korbin Pate. "Students on our production staff are graduating with real world experience and going right to work after graduation. We are seeing a major positive impact on recruiting, a rise in our exposure and branding and a platform to keep our fans and alumni engaged with SFA athletics wherever they go."
