SFA Continues Road Trip in Virginia Tomorrow

FARIFAX, VA. – Ladyjacks are looking for another win to put in the books as they take on George Mason Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. ET. SFA is coming off a loss in College Station, after they gave the Aggies a run for their money in the first half. The Stephen F. Austin defense forced 22 turnovers against the No. 24 Texas A&M Aggies, and had a total of 12 steals. They currently lead the Southland conference in steals with 46 so far this season (15.3 per game).
Senior Taylor Ross was back leading the Ladyjacks on the floor with 17 points against the Aggies. Redshirt junior Stevi Parker had eight points and six rebounds, while senior Adrienne Lewis had seven rebounds on the board.
The series between the Ladyjacks and the George Mason Patriots is a short story with only one game in the books between the two. It was in 1994-95 season at the Coors Event Center in Boulder, Colo. The Ladyjacks took the game 75-52.
George Mason is coming off a 60-33 win against Norfolk State last Monday. The Patriots are 3-2 so far this season. Kara Wright leads the Patriots with 67 points, six of those from three-pointers. Tiffany Padgett leads in rebounds with 29 rebounds, giving the Patriots a +6.4 rebounding margin over their opponents.
After Wednesday night, the Ladyjacks will finish out the long road-trip with a game Friday night against Coppin State. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. CT.
