SFA Athletics Marketing Internship Now Open

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin athletics marketing department has announced the opening of a marketing and promotions internship for the 2015-16 academic year. The position is designed to help students gain valuable experience in a collegiate athletic marketing setting while working with SFA’s 17 athletic programs.
The internship will focus on promoting and fostering the brand of Stephen F. Austin Athletics through marketing and promotion. Interns will work with SFA’s award winning athletic marketing staff to develop, enhance and execute the pregame, in-game and postgame experience for fans.
Pregame duties may include at-the-door giveaways, event setup and arena prep. In-game responsibilities will involve selecting contestants for on-court/field promotions and providing customer service at fan engagement tables. Interns will gain first-hand knowledge of best practices and a strong understanding of athletic department operations through the hands-on learning experience.
