NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Don't miss your chance to be a part of another exciting athletic year with Lumberjack Athletics. The Purple Lights Combo is back this season, offering ticket packages for the 2015-16 SFA football and men's and women's basketball seasons.
The Purple Lights combo is $135 for the general public and $80 for SFA faculty and staff, including reserved bench seating for football and reserved chairback seating for basketball. It is a savings of $24 for general public tickets as football season tickets run $63 with basketball season tickets pricing out at $96.
Coming off its third Commissioner's Cup in 2014-15, SFA saw a record-breaking year as the department captured 10 total Southland Conference championships with four NCAA postseason appearances, seven All-Americans, 24 SLC major award winners and seven Coach of the Year honors.
Football went 8-5 in 2014, a five-win improvement from the previous season, finishing tied for third in the SLC standings and qualifying for the seventh NCAA FCS playoff appearance in program history. Led by Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year finalist Clint Conque and SLC Newcomer of the Year Zach Conque, SFA has five home games in 2015 as the Lumberjacks set their sights on a run at a conference title.
Both basketball programs continued their reign atop the SLC standings as the Lumberjacks captured their third-straight regular season SLC title, second-straight tournament title and made their second-straight NCAA tournament appearance. Head coach Brad Underwood, a Hugh Durham National Coach of the Year finalist, returns along with SLC Player of the Year Thomas Walkup as SFA looks to make SLC history.
The Ladyjacks are coming off back-to-back SLC regular season titles and a WNIT appearance in 2014-15 as All-SLC guard Taylor Ross returns to anchor SFA. Mark Kellogg takes over the reigns of the SFA basketball program, establishing himself as one of the top coaches at the Division II level and brings a .794 winning percentage and seven NCAA tournament appearances with him to Nacogdoches.
The Purple Lights Combo runs through Friday, July 31. Contact the SFA Ticket Office at (936) 468-JACK (5225) to purchase your tickets and be a part of another exciting season in 2015-16.
