2014-15 proved to be arguably the most memorable year in the history of Stephen F. Austin Athletics. Nine regular season conference titles, three NCAA postseason appearances, seven Coach of the Year honors, seven All-Americans, 23 Southland Conference major award winners, a national runner-up showing and the program's first Division I national champion. Over the next few weeks, SFAJacks.com looks back at the highlights of SFA's historic 2014-15 season, a season which came to be known as the "Year of the `Jacks."
AUGUST/SEPTEMBER

Aug. 22 -- SOC -- SFA Defeats Oregon State for first Pac-12 win
Jasmine White found the back of the net in the first half and freshman Hanna Barker scored in her collegiate debut to put the finishing touches on a 2-0 Ladyjack win in the 2014 season opener against Oregon State. The victory was the first in program history for SFA against a team from the Pac-12 Conference.
Sept. 6 -- FB -- Johnson, SFA races over Incarnate Word
Gus Johnson got his record-breaking 2014 season rolling as the senior rushed for a career-best 252 yards and four touchdowns as SFA rolled over Southland Conference newcomer Incarnate Word 38-3 in the 2014 home opener. Johnson became SFA's all-time rushing touchdown leader in the process, the first of many records he would break in 2014.
Sept. 8 -- WGLF -- Lautensack Fires First Career Hole-In-One on Second Collegiate Hole
Ladyjack freshman Erica Lautensack made quite an impression in her first collegiate tournament, carding a hole-in-one on her second collegiate hole at the Texas A&M `Mo'Morial. Lautensack drilled the shot from 155 yards out on the 11th hole at the Traditions Club, recording the first hole-in-one in Ladyjack program history.
Sept. 9 -- FB -- Johnson Named FCS National Player of the Week
Behind his 252-yard and four touchdown performance against Incarnate Word, Gus Johnson was tabbed the FCS Offensive Player of the Week by the FCS Sports Network and the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA). The awards came on the heels of Johnson being named the Southland Conference Player of the Week.
Sept. 10 -- VB -- SFA Rallies From 2-0 Deficit to Stun ULM in Five
After dropping the first two sets against Louisiana-Monroe, SFA rallied to take the next three in front of a raucous Shelton Gym, downing the Warhawks 3-2. Jill Ivy and Keeley Kainer each notched 11 kills as the win proved to be the turning point in the Ladyjacks' 2014 season.
Sept. 13 -- FB -- SFA Topples A&M-Commerce 38-17
Facing a long time East Texas rival, SFA's offense came alive while the defense held the high octane A&M-Commerce offense in check as the Lumberjacks defeated the Lions 38-17. The defensive showing was especially impressive, coming one week after A&M-Commerce put up 98 points and nearly 1,000 yards of total offense against East Texas Baptist.
Sept. 13 -- VB -- SFA Captures Louisiana Tech Invitational
SFA kept its winning ways rolling, dropping just two sets as the Ladyjacks captured the Louisiana Tech Invitational. SFA defeated New Orleans 3-0, then recorded 3-1 wins over Texas-Pan American and the host Lady Techsters to extend its winning streak to four as libero OJ Olson was named the tournament's MVP and the SLC's Defensive Player of the Week.

Sept. 14 -- SOC -- Raymond Sets Career Points Mark in Rout of Southern
Senior forward Chelsea Raymond became SFA's all-time career points leader on September 14 against Southern University in a 7-0 rout. Raymond scored her third goal of the season, striking on a one-on-one opportunity in the 53rd minute to surpass former teammate Kylie Louw (96 points -- 2009-12) for the all-time honor.
Sept. 20 -- FB -- `Jacks Win Third Straight in 35-20 Victory over Weber State
Behind a pair of rushing touchdowns from both Gus Johnson and Zach Conque, SFA won its third straight and matched its total win total from 2013 with a 35-20 victory over Weber State. Collin Garrett recorded a career-best 16 tackles, fittingly doing so on a night in which SFA marked the 20-year anniversary of the retiring of Cally Belcher's #16 jersey.
Sept. 26 -- SOC -- Raymond Lifts SFA to OT Win over Lamar
In the Ladyjacks' home conference opener, senior Chelsea Raymond lifted SFA to a 2-1 overtime victory over Lamar with a game-winning goal from distance in the 92nd minute. The golden goal helped SFA improve to 2-0 in conference play in front of a packed crowd at SFA Soccer Field.
