SFA Athletics Teams Up With Toys for Tots

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - In the spirit of the holiday season, the Stephen F. Austin Athletic Department is hoping to spread some holiday cheer to those in need by conducting the annual Toys for Tots toy drive at various athletic events. All local Toys For Tots initiatives help provide Christmas presents to less fortunate children in the Nacogdoches area.
SFA Athletics encourages fans to bring an unwrapped toy of at least $10 value in exchange for free admission to select events (limit one admission per person).
The first Toys for Tots event will be held on Nov. 9 at Homer Bryce Stadium as the Lumberjack football team takes on McNeese State at 3:00 p.m. William R. Johnson Coliseum will host the next Toys for Tots event on Nov. 23 for the Ladyjacks home opener against SMU at 6:00 p.m. The last opportunity to participate in the Toys for Tots drive will be during the Etech Lumberjack Classic on Dec. 6 vs. Towson at 8:00 p.m. or Dec. 7 vs. James Madison at 8:15 p.m.
The primary mission of Toys for Tots is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. SFA Athletics asks all fans to please show Lumberjack pride on the dates listed, to think of others during the holiday season and donate a toy to the program.
