NACOGDOCHES, Texas - First-year Ladyjack head tennis coach Patrick Sullivan has been named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Texas Regional Committee. Sullivan will serve a three-year term with four other members.
"It is a great honor to be selected," said Sullivan. "I have a lot of respect for the other coaches on the committee and am looking forward to working with them to represent our region."
Sullivan, along with the rest of the members, will be responsible for determining regional rankings for singles and doubles teams, selection of players for All-America honors as well as players from the Texas region to compete in the NCAA Individual Championships at the end of the year. In addition to the other responsibilities, Sullivan will also have a vote in the ITA team rankings.
Sullivan was named the Ladyjacks' new head coach Sept. 1st. The first-year head coach replaced Bret Arrant who had served as the team's lone head coach since the return of the program.
