
Men's and Women's Golf Team Head to Huntsville

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's golf team will head to Huntsville, Texas Monday to compete in the Sam Houston State Harold Funston Golf Championship. The contest will serve as the fourth tournament of the fall season for both teams. The men's team will be in action at the Raven Nest Golf Club, while the women's team is set to tee off at the Elkins Lake Golf Club.
The Lumberjacks will be competing in a 14-team field that includes teams from Alabama State, Centenary, Houston, Houston Baptist, McNeese State, Nicholls, Northeast Oklahoma State, Oklahoma Christian, Oklahoma City, Sam Houston State, Texas Southern, Texas-Pan American and Tyler Junior College and some individual competitors from Texas. The team enters the tournament coming off a ninth place finish at the Wolf Pack Invitational in Tahoe, Nevada.
The women's draw consists of teams from Alabama State, Centenary, Houston, Redlands, Sam Houston State, Texas-Pan American and Tyler Junior College. The Ladyjacks are coming off a 13th-place finish at the Bob Hurley Auto ORU Shootout in Tulsa, Okla.
The teams are set to tee off at 8:00 a.m. on both days of the tournament.
