Auburn, Ala. - The SFA equestrian team finished off the season on the road on Saturday, falling 15-5 at Auburn.
The Lady Tigers took MVP honors in all four events, winning each of them.
Hunt seat competition heavily favored the home squad, as Auburn took that portion by a 9-1 count. The only point SFA was able to pull out was Andrea Routzon defeating Chelsea Anheuser 95-90 in equitation on the flat. Auburn took that event 4-1, and finished up 5-0 in equitation over fences.
The Ladyjacks did find some success, however, in the western half of the show. Auburn still pulled out horsemanship by a 3-2 count, but both Felicia Shartle and Jenny Martin were able to scratch the scoring column for SFA.
Martin edged out Kim Pope 68.5-65, while Shartle squeaked out a 67-66.5 win over Shannnon Hinton.
The Lady Tigers took reining by the same score, but Martin was able to pick up her second win of the day and Lydia Roof was also able to take care of business on her end as well.
Martin knocked off Jessica Jones 71-64.5 for her win, while Roof edged Julie Gibbes 63-62.5
