LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Ladyjack equestrian team wrapped up the road portion of the 2007-08 fall schedule on Saturday, falling 12-3 at the hands of New Mexico State at the NMSU Equestrian Center.
Equitation over fences saw the Ladyjacks pick up a pair of points behind the sister tandem of Kristin and Liz Landes. Kristin Landes posted a discipline-high 80-point performance, earning the point over Kristin Engle 80-75. Her sister, Liz, would follow that up with a four-point win of her own by defeating Beth Robinson 77-73.
Shannon Zelnikoff would added the other Ladyjack point, easily defeating Lindsey Beal 61-42 in equitation on the flat.
On the Western side, the Ladyjacks struggled against the Aggies despite solid scores from Jenny Martin and Lydia Roof. Martin would have a team-high 69.5-point ride in horsemanship, while Roof topped the team with a 67.5-point ride in reining.
SFA will next be in action on Saturday, Nov. 17, at home against Oklahoma State.
