NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack equestrian team opens its spring season Saturday at South Carolina. SFA, who is in its second season of competition, has a 4-2 record on the year.
The Gamecocks put together a 3-1 record in the fall, but have not competed since Oct. 28. The Ladyjacks last competed on Nov. 18 when they fell 15-5 at Georgia.
SFA and USC have faced each other once in the last year and a half when the Gamecocks defeated the Ladyjacks 1,086-1,063 in Nacogdoches last year.
After the show in Blythewood, SC, the Ladyjacks will travel to Auburn, Ala., to face the Tigers on Sunday.
