SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Stephen F. Austin's Crystal Chang wrapped up her competition in the heptathlon Saturday at the NCAA Track and Field Championships. Chang finished the event in 26th place overall with 4,400 points.
Chang came into Saturday's trio of events in 22nd place, 40 points away from moving into the Top 20. But her score suffered badly when she failed to record a mark in the long jump, Saturday's first event. Chang went on to post the 22nd-best mark in the javelin with a throw of 108-04. In the day's final event, the 800-meter run, she finished 12th with a time of 2:20.62.
