Field for Dogwood Invitational Set

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Ten schools and more than 250 athletes are set to compete in the Stephen F. Austin Dogwood Invitational. The meet is scheduled for Thursday and Friday on Fletcher Garner Track at Homer Bryce Stadium.
The Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks will square off against Southland Conference foes Sam Houston State, Lamar and Northwestern State, as well as athletes from Centenary College, Southern Arkansas, Southwestern Christian College, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas College and UT-Tyler.
The action is set to get under way Thursday evening. The triple jump, pole vault and hammer throw will all be held simultaneously, starting at 5 p.m. At 7:30, the distance events will begin, starting with the 3,000-meter steeplechase. The 1,500 meters will follow, then the opening day will conclude with the 5,000-meter run. The remaining field events will be held Friday morning, beginning at 10 with the high jump and long jump. Running events will start at 1 p.m. with the 4X100-meter relay and conclude with the 4X400-meter relay.
