Ladyjack Tennis Player Honored by SLC

PLANO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis player Melissa Bass was named Academic All-Southland Conference announced league officials Tuesday morning.
Bass played at the Nos. 4 - 6 singles and No. 2 doubles positions for the Ladyjacks this spring. She finished the season with an 8-3 record in singles play and led the squad with a .727 winning percentage. Bass was one of only two players to record a 4.0 grade-point average.
Bass was also named the Kathy McGough Academic Athlete of the Year and was received the Murray Shaw Academic Award at the 2004 SFA Athletic Awards Banquet.
