
`Jacks Fall Short Against Alabama A&M

NORMAL, Ala. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack basketball team lost to Alabama A&M, 68-42, Wednesday night. The Lumberjacks are now 2-4 (.333) overall this season after dropping their last two games.
The `Jacks were hurt by turnovers and poor shooting against Alabama A&M. SFA was 15-of-45 (.333) from the floor, including an 0-for-8 effort from beyond the three-point arc. The `Jacks also turned the ball over 27 times and the Bulldogs cashed in on the opportunities outscoring SFA 30-6 in points off turnovers.
The Bulldogs were 23-of-54 (42.6 percent) from the floor and were led by Joseph Martin who finished the game with 17 points.
Senior Marcus Clark led SFA with his 10 points, while senior Taylor Moore added four points and grabbed eight rebounds.
