Ladyjack Tennis Hosts Second Match of Season

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team competed in their second match of the fall season Saturday afternoon as they hosted the SFA Invitational at the SFA Tennis Courts. Ashley Johnson led the Ladyjacks attack as she won both her singles matches. Johnson defeated Lamar's Kendall Gibbs, 3-6, 7-5 (6), in the morning session and then returned to the court to defeat Louisiana Tech's Katie Westbrook, 6-4, 6-0.
Other Ladyjacks that recorded singles wins Saturday afternoon were junior Megan Langston and Kama Scott. The doubles team of Megan Langston and Ashley Johnson also picked up a doubles victory.
The Ladyjacks return to action Sunday morning to close out the final day of the SFA Fall Invitational.
