
Ladyjacks Earn League Honor

PLANO, Texas - Sophomore Kendra Cannon (Kilgore, Texas) was named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week and classmate Natascia Michalezki (Calgary, Alberta) was named SLC Goalkeeper of the week announced league officials Wednesday.
Cannon led the Ladyjacks to victories over North Texas and Texas-El Paso. Cannon scored two goals and dished out one assist to lead the team with five points for the week. Cannon's second goal was the gamewinner in double overtime against UTEP. Cannon currently leads the team in points, goals and assists.
Michalezki recorded a school-record 24 saves in the victory over UTEP, while holding the Miners scoreless for the final 83:30 minutes of the game. Michalezki recorded 37 saves and a 1.80 goals against average in the two victories. It is the second-straight week Michalezki has earned the honor.
The Ladyjacks return to action Friday when they face Texas Tech. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., from the SFA Intramural Complex.
