NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team was victorious Friday afternoon in their scrimmage at the SFA Intramural Complex. SFA defeated the Houston Challenge, 1-0.
The game consisted of three 25-minute periods and was scoreless through the first period. The defensive struggle continued in the second period as the game remained scoreless until the 49:02 mark. Sophomore Kendra Cannon (Kilgore, Texas) ended the shutout when scored an unassisted goal from 15 feet out.

Sophomore goalkeeper Natascia Michalezki (Calgary, Alberta) notched the victory recording three saves in 50 minutes of action. Senior Heather Matchette (Rio Linda, Calif.) played the final 25 minutes in the net to share the shutout.
