Ladyjack Earns League Honor

PLANO, Texas - Sophomore point guard Britany Vinson was named Southland Conference Co-Player of the Week, announced league officials Monday afternoon. It is the first time in Vinson career that she has received the honor.
Vinson came off the bench to lead the Ladyjacks with a season-high 18 points against No. 17 (ESPN/USA Today poll) Oklahoma Saturday. Vinson was 7-of-12 (.583) from the floor and 4-of-7 (.571) from beyond the three-point line in 33 minutes of action. Vinson also grabbed three rebounds and dished out an assist.
The Ladyjacks return to action Sunday when they travel to Jonesboro, Ark., to take on Arkansas State. The game is slated to begin at 2 p.m. The game can be heard live on KYKS 105 FM.
