
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Sponsoring Food Drive

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Stephen F. Austin State university is sponsoring a food drive this weekend to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society / Food Bank at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Nacogdoches.
Anyone bringing a non-perishable food item to Ladyjack and Lumberjack basketball games, beginning with the Ladyjack-Louisiana Tech game Friday night, will receive free admission. The drive continues Saturday when the Lumberjacks host Houston Baptist, and concludes Monday night when the Ladyjacks host Colorado State. Game time for all three games is 7:00 p.m. in the coliseum.
The student-athlete advisory committee is comprised of representatives from each of the 14 intercollegiate athletic teams at the university, as well as, representatives from student managers and student trainers. This year's drive marks the fourth year the committee has sponsored a food drive before the holiday season.
