Tabisz, Watson, Osborn Named To All-SLC Tennis Team

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack tennis team finished the regular season portion of their schedule 13-11 overall and 8-2 with a third place finish. To continue the Ladyjacks' success this season, Amanda Tabisz and Meredith Watson have been named to the All-Southland Conference First Team while Lisa Osborn has been named to the second team for singles. This is the first time in seventeen years the Ladyjacks have been named in the All-Conference selections.
Amanda Tabisz, a junior from Plano, Texas was included in the First Team All-Southland Conference selection this year in the number two position. Tabisz finished the season undefeated 10-0 in conference play and 17-7 overall in singles.
Meredith Watson, a junior from Katy, Texas clinched the number four position on the first team after finishing the season 9-1 in conference play and 17-5 overall.
Lisa Osborn, a freshman from Arlington, Texas was named to the All-Southland Conference Second Team in the number six position. Osborn finished the season 17-6 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Thursday, April 13, 2000 in Arlington at the Southland Conference Championship. Number three Stephen F. Austin will be facing number six Sam Houston State at noon at the Texas-Arlington Tennis Center.
