
Lewis Mills Named WAC Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Stephen F. Austin's Lewis Mills won this week's Western Athletic Conference cross country male athlete of the week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Head Coach Robert Hansen had this to say about Lewis, "Lewis is a tremendously talented athlete. He's had a stellar first month to his season, and this is a step towards his ultimate running goals. This honor will motivate and elevate our entire team."
Lewis Mills was the collegiate champion at the Lumberjack Invitational. He ran a 22 second lifetime personal best of 24:13 in a meet which featured several other strong WAC teams.
SFA also is ranked 15th in the men's regional and 13th for the women's regional.
Stephen F. Austin will travel September 30th to Fayetteville, Arkansas to take part in the Chile Pepper Invitational.
