
Pecot, Campbell and 4x400m Relay Team Earn All-American Honors on Second Day of NCAA Championship Meet

SFA places seven athletes on NCAA All-American Teams

AUSTIN, Texas – SFA Track and Field will be headed back to Nacogdoches with several All-Americans in its ranks, after a strong performance at the NCAA Championship meet in Austin on Thursday. Senior Madison Pecot, freshman Nastassja Campbell and the women's 4x400m relay team of Imani Nave, Aaliyah Teel, Cayla Burch and Daijia Carr all earned All-America Second Team honors on the day, giving SFA seven total All-Americans.
Pecot and Campbell each competed in the 24-athlete field of the women's vault, which saw a delayed start time thanks to inclement weather in the Austin area. Pecot placed ninth overall with her clearance of 4.20m (13-9.25), while Nastassja Campbell tied for 16that 4.20m (13-9.25). Both Ladyjacks earned All-American Second Team honors for finishing within the top 16 competitors.
Closing out the night for SFA was the women's 4x400m relay team of Imani Nave, Aaliyah Teel, Daijia Carr and Cayla Burch. The squad finished their season strong with a 15thplace finish of 3:36.12, earned All-American Second Team honors for all members of the relay unit.
As a whole, SFA sent a total of seven competitors to the NCAA Championship meet, and all seven would earn All-American honors.
