SFA Soccer Adds Transfer Morgan Wessling to Roster for Upcoming Season

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The SFA soccer team welcomes a new player to the fold for the upcoming 2019 season, head coach Wally Crittenden announced on Tuesday. Morgan Wessling, a 5-10 sophomore forward, joins the Ladyjacks after spending two seasons with the Cowgirls of Oklahoma State.
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Morgan to our 2019 squad", said Crittenden. "She comes to us from a great environment that has pushed her at a very high level over the last two years. At 5'10", she brings great size, strength, speed and will add a fighter's mentality and edge to the team, specifically as a forward. We will look to feature Morgan along the front line and anywhere else along the edge."
Prior to playing her two seasons in Stillwater, Wessling was a two-time district MVP at Denton Guyer High School in Denton, Texas. A native of Lantana, Texas, Wessling is also a former track and field standout, having been named a district champion in the 200 yard dash during her prep career. Playing club soccer for the Lake Highlands Warriors Soccer Club, Wessling was named a team captain and also earned a spot on the Region III ODP team.
