• The Stephen F. Austin women's basketball team will look for their first win in Conway, Ark. since the 2009-10 season when they face Central Arkansas on Thursday night inside the Farris Center. Andy Collins will have the call on Q107.7 FM (Q1077.com) when the Ladyjacks take the court for the 7:00 p.m. tip.
• Thursday night's contest will be the 15th meeting all-time between the two programs. SFA enjoys a 10-4 advantage in the series but has lost three straight games on the road. Last season, the Ladyjacks lost 65-42 in Conway before cruising past the Sugar Bears 61-41 at home in the regular season finale to claim a share of the Southland Conference title.
• The Ladyjacks are coming off a thrilling 78-71 overtime victory against Southeastern Louisiana at home on Monday night - the team's first SLC win of the season. Porsha Roberts notched her sixth double-double of the year (24 pts, 10 reb) and Taylor Ross scored a game-high 25 points and dished out six assists to lead SFA. All five Ladyjack starters played at least 33 minutes with Tierany Henderson logging 42 minutes of playing time. She currently leads SFA with 32.5 mpg for the 2014-15 season. The Ladyjacks went 22-for-26 at the free throw line and outscored the Lady Lions 46-24 in the paint on the night. With the OT victory, SFA improves to 23-13 all-time in overtime affairs.
• Senior center Porsha Roberts has been lights out against the Lady Lions in her SFA career. In five meetings with SLU, Roberts averages 21.4 ppg and has made 40 of 46 field goal attempts (87.0 percent).
• In two conference games this season, Porsha Roberts is averaging 25.0 ppg, 11.0 rpg, is shooting 66.7 percent (18-for-27) from the floor and leads SFA with six blocks, four steals and two double-doubles.
• Central Arkansas (9-5, 2-0 SLC), picked to finish fourth in both of the SLC preseason polls, currently sits atop the league standings. The Sugar Bears are riding a five-game winning streak, most recently knocking off league foes Abilene Christian 66-60 on Sunday in Abilene and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 63-59 at home on Tuesday night. UCA's game against SFA marks its third in a five-day span. As a team, the Sugar Bears rank eighth in the nation in free throw percentage (77.1) and 25th in scoring defense (55.1 ppg).
• The Sugar Bears are led by a trio of guards averaging double figures - sophomores Maggie Proffitt (14.0 ppg) and Brianna Mullins (11.1 ppg), and junior Kendara Watts (12.1 ppg). Proffitt leads the SLC and ranks 41st in the country with 2.64 three-pointers made per game this year while Mullins' 1.87 assist/turnover ratio is second in the league only to SFA's Taylor Ross.
• The Ladyjacks will get a much-needed break after their third game in six days on Thursday night. Following the UCA game, SFA will host New Orleans in William R. Johnson Coliseum on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 5:00 p.m.
