SFA Begins Fall World Series Today

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack baseball team begins its annual Fall World Series this afternoon at Jaycees Field.
SFA will split into two teams and play a best-of-five game series through Saturday, Nov. 15, with all contests beginning at 3:30 p.m. The series will conclude fall practice for the ‘Jacks in preparation for the 2015 season.
Coming up later in November, the team will host an alumni weekend beginning Saturday, Nov. 22. Events for Saturday include a round of golf at the Piney Woods Country Club (8 a.m.), attending the SFA football game against Northwestern State (3 p.m.) and an alumni social event at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop (7:30 p.m.). The alumni weekend will conclude with a baseball game between current and past ‘Jacks on Sunday at noon.

Saturday, Nov. 22:
• Golf (8 a.m. – Piney Woods Country Club)
• SFA vs. Northwestern State Football Game (3 p.m. – Homer Bryce Stadium)
