Game Notes & What To Watch For:
- This is the first time SFA has taken on Arkansas-Pine Bluff in recorded history and is the first of a home-and-home series with the Golden Lions that will be completed on April 12 in Pine Bluff.
- Junior Bryson Myles has hit safely in all eight games this season, making him the only Lumberjack to do so. Additionally, he leads the SLC with 11 stolen bases and tied a single-game SFA record on Sunday against UNO with four swipes.
- The `Jacks are currently second in the SLC with a 3.25 team ERA, including a 2.25 ERA from the Lumberjack bullpen.
- Jared West only lasted 1.2 innings at Houston in his last start on Tuesday, allowing eight runs to the Cougars; however, he just two of those runs were earned.
- SFA has not had to stress out its bullpen early in the season as has been the case in previous years; instead, SFA has used a dozen pitchers to date out of the pen to log 40 innings of work. Ten of those pitchers have been used multiple times, with Landon Kozeny logging the most appearances, pitching 4.1 innings in four appearances with eight strikeouts to just two walks.
