SFA Sprinters Travel to Houston

HOUSTON, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team sent a small group of athletes to Houston, Texas to compete in the Houston All-Comers meet. The SFA sprinters and hurdlers recorded several top-10 finishes at the meet.
Freshman Cass Brown just missed an individual title in the 400 meters recording a time of 49.58 to finish third overall. Classmate Eldridge Mumphrey clocked a time of 6.91 to finish fifth in the men's 60-meter dash. D'Andrea Rouwtt was eighth in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:21.86.
SFA returns to action Thursday when it travels to Ames, Iowa, to compete in the ISU Classic and Multis.
