NACOGDOCHES, Texas - For the second year in a row, the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football program will host Ladies' Night with SFA Football. The annual event, presented by State Farm in conjunction with SFA and the Southland Conference, coincides with the start of fall camp and is aimed at educating women on the basics of football, with particular emphasis on the college game.
This year's program will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, and is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the field house at Homer Bryce Stadium. This year's event will again feature commentary from SFA head coach J.C. Harper, as well as other coaches on staff, and Big 12 official Cooper Castleberry. Lumberjack players and coaches' wives will also be on hand for the program.
The evening will begin with hors d'oeuvres, and various door prizes will be given out. Laine's Hallmark has provided a sterling silver Pandora bracelet with a football charm to be given away. The cost to attend the program is $20, payable in advance or at the door. Each participant will be given a T-shirt. For more information, contact SFA football secretary Joyce Campbell at (936) 468-3502.
