KERRVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team will compete in its final competition of the 2007 regular season when it travels to Kerrville, Texas, Monday to open the Southland Conference Championships. The tournament will run through Wednesday at the Comanche Trace Golf Course (7,103 yards/par 72). It will be hosted by Texas-San Antonio.
The Lumberjacks are looking to bounce back from a couple of tough outings where it had solid starts, but struggled in the third and final round. The Lumberjacks recorded a seventh-place finish at the SLC Championships last season. SFA has played the Comanche Trace Golf Course earlier this season, but struggled to a 10th-place finish.
