SFA to Face Southern Illinois in WNIT

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks will face Southern Illinois in the first round of the WNIT announced tournament officials late Monday evening. The game against the Salukis is slated for Thursday, March 15th in Carbondale, Ill. The game time has not yet been scheduled.
The Salukis won the 2006-07 Missouri Valley Conference title after posting a 20-10 (.667) overall record, and going 16-2 (.889) in league play. Southern Illinois was upset by NCAA tournament bound Drake in the first round of the conference tournament.
The Ladyjacks wrapped up their second consecutive 20-win season Saturday in the Southland Conference tournament finals. The Ladyjacks enter the WNIT with a 21-11 (.656) overall record. If the Ladyjacks get by Southern Illinois, they will travel to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State.
