SFA Linebacker Garners More Attention

WESTMONT, Ill. - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack sophomore linebacker Damian Perkins continues to pile up the honors after his performance at Arizona last Saturday. The sophomore linebacker has been named Don Hansen's Weekly Football Gazette Player of the Week for his efforts against the Wildcats.
Perkins was a defensive stalwart for the Lumberjacks being involved in 23 stops. He also recorded a career-high 10 solo stops and also recorded his first career interception in the game against Arizona.
The Lumberjacks return to action Saturday against Central Arkansas. The game against the Bears is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
