Softball Hosting Clinic For Area Youth

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Members of the SFA softball team and coaching staff in conjunction with the Nacogdoches Youth Softball Association will host a youth clinic for youngsters ages 8-18 at the Coy Simms Softball Complex, Feb. 14.
There will be a $5 per person charge for the clinc, but anyone 13 years of age or younger wearing a 'Jacks softball t-shirt will be admitted free. Participants should bring water, a glove, bats and cleats. Catchers should bring their own catching gear for the day.
Clinic activities will begin at 11:00 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m. Members of the coaching staff and players will go over position play, offense, base running techniques and pitching with clinic participants.
Parents can register their children by calling (936) 468-4464, or at the camp beginning that morning at 10:30 a.m. A parent signature will be required for each participant.
