Green Closes Out SFA Career In Rare Company

Former Lumberjack basketball player Percy Green completed his two years of eligibility with the Lumberjacks last season leading the team to a 21-8 overall record and a 16-4 mark in Southland Conference play. Along the way, Green earned first team All-Southland Conference honors in 2003 as a senior after being named a third team All-SLC selection in 2002.
Green became the first Lumberjack since Wayne Allen in 1997 to be named to the All-SLC first team. Green averaged 12.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game last season and closed out his career with a 13.2 ppg average.
The Oklahoma City, Okla. native scored a then career high 25-points in an overtime win over Sam Houston on Jan. 18. That win came in the middle of a 13-game winning streak for the Lumberjacks. He later eclipsed that career mark with a 26-point effort against Lamar.
Following the season, Green was honored at the annual Lumberjacks award ceremony with the George Johnson Award, given annually to the most valuable offensive player on the basketball team.
