NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball team added another player to its 2003 signing class with the addition of Jennifer Simpson (Houston, Texas) announced SFA head coach Lee Ann Riley Thursday.
"Jennifer is a great scorer," said Riley. "She has the ability to hit the three, but also put the ball on the floor and create her own shot. She is a very quick and athletic player who has great feel for the game. We are excited to have her join our Ladyjack Program."
Simpson is a 5-7 guard who averaged 20.2 points per game at Waltrip High School. She was named district MVP and selected to play in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Star Game. Simpson was an all-region player that averaged 52 percent from the floor in high school. She is another player on the Ladyjack roster with the ability to knock down the long-range jumper, connecting on 50 percent of her three-pointers as a prepster. Simpson also averaged 4.2 steals and 4.1 assists at Waltrip High School.
With the addition of Simpson, the Ladyjacks 2003 signing class stands at seven.
