Cowgirls Beat Ladyjacks in Five

Lake Charles, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team dropped its second Southland Conference match of the season Friday night against McNeese State, 3-2 (29-31, 30-16, 30-27, 32-34, 15-13). SFA is now 11-5 overall and 5-2 in the Southland Conference.
After an offensive explosion against Nicholls State, the Ladyjacks offense let them down Friday night, as they only hit .149, as a team. Senior Kristy Rhodes (Cypress, Texas) led the team in hitting with a .289 performance, recording 12 kills and only one error. SFA still played solid defense, recording 25 total blocks. Junior Sunni Williams (Houston, Texas) recorded her second double-double of the season with her 10-assist, 10-dig performance.
SFA returns to action Saturday night against league-leading Lamar. The match is schedule to begin at 7 p.m., from Beaumont, Texas.
